According to the group, DEAR GOD embraces vulnerability, artistic freedom and intense storytelling through a diaristic songwriting approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">The new single \u201cWhen I Wake Up\u201d reflects that direction, leaning into a punk-driven sound while retaining the band\u2019s signature elements \u2014 explosive guitar work and Momsen\u2019s unmistakable powerhouse vocals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Speaking about the track, Momsen said:\n\u201c\u2018When I Wake Up\u2019 is the story of a dream that turns into a nightmare. When a life of excess becomes a roller coaster destined to derail, but you simply can\u2019t see it.
