After more than a decade at the forefront of modern metal, acclaimed vocalist Alissa White-Gluz has launched a powerful new chapter with the creation of her new band Blue Medusa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Known for her commanding voice and electrifying stage presence, White-Gluz has spent more than twenty years performing on major stages around the world and has become one of the most recognizable female voices in extreme metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During her time with Arch Enemy, she helped drive some of the band\u2019s most successful years, expanding their global audience and performing on the world\u2019s biggest metal stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Blue Medusa, the singer aims to push her creative vision even further, blending the intensity fans associate with her work with a new and expansive artistic direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about the project, White-Gluz said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cBlue Medusa is the next evolution of everything I\u2019ve been building toward for years. It's my creative melting pot. Everything fans enjoy about the energy, intensity, and performance they\u2019ve always experienced on stage with me over the past two decades is still here, even stronger. That is me, that is who I am and who I\u2019ve always been. And now it\u2019s amplified and unleashed in a fully sovereign artistic vision. Our music has blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, brutal vocals, fast and aggressive drums, thoughtful melodies and most importantly (to me), really cogitative lyrics.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
The band features guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia, while White-Gluz has hinted that drummer Delaney Jaster and bassist Alicia Vigil will join the live lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cThe musical chemistry I feel with these women is truly giving me back my life. It\u2019s very refreshing and exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
For her live performances, the singer announced that drummer Delaney Jaster<\/strong> and bassist Alicia Vigil<\/strong>, two prominent musicians in the scene, will also be joining her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She explained why she chose to reveal the project on International Women's Day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cI specifically chose to share this news on International Women\u2019s Day because building stronger platforms for women in heavy music is something I care deeply about. I\u2019ve been carving my own path in this genre for a long time, and I want to help pave the way for the next generation of women who love metal as much as I do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Blue Medusa will make their live debut at major festivals including Louder Than Life and Aftershock Festival, with new music expected soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
