Legendary thrash metal giants Megadeth will draw the curtain on their career with a final studio album and global farewell tour in 2026. Frontman Dave Mustaine revealed that persistent physical ailments are the decisive reason behind ending the band after more than 40 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mustaine detailed long-standing health struggles \u2014 arthritis, bulging discs, a lumbar fracture and past spine and neck surgeries \u2014 all of which have compromised his ability to perform with the intensity Megadeth demands.
