Cemetery Skyline have released their latest single, \u201cNothing From This World,\u201d as they prepare for their first-ever U.S. performance at ProgPower US and an upcoming short tour across Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guitarist Markus Vanhala revealed that the track originates from the Nordic Gothic recording sessions: \u201cThis is an \u2018old but new song\u2019 that we kept hidden in our crypts for a later release, and now it\u2019s time for it to rise. In the video, the dark heroine becomes empowered, decides to get dressed, and sings one last serenade to the dead. We don\u2019t know what happened before, and we really don\u2019t want to know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vocalist Mikael Stanne elaborated on the lyrical theme: \u201cThe song is about being at odds with oneself. About feeling so disassociated that nothing makes sense anymore\u2014where loneliness has overtaken the sense of community and togetherness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The video performance, filmed during the band\u2019s sold-out Finnish tour in March, was enhanced visually by Jari Heino for Coldstore Productions, creating an evocative fusion of atmosphere and intensity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
