Despu\u00e9s de hacer m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica, el metal parece ser un poco m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil y me da m\u00e1s libertad.<\/p>\n \u00bfCuales son tus influencias musicales -dentro o fuera del Metal-?<\/strong><\/p>\n Vocalmente siempre fue influenciada por las cantantes de Opera, como Renata Tebaldi, Jessye Normal, Brigitte Nielsen, Joan Sutherland y muchos otros. Pero tambi\u00e9n me gustan muchisimos vocalistas del Metal, pero solo disfruto escucharlos, es una forma de cantar muy distinta, as\u00ed que no influyen en mi [en ese aspecto].<\/p>\n Y bueno, \u00bfc\u00f3mo terminaste metida en Therion? Dime, \u00bfno sientes presi\u00f3n de se la persona que sustituye a Lori Lewis?<\/strong><\/p>\n Mina, quien es una buena amiga mia y novia de Christofer [Johnsson, fundador de Therion] me sugiri\u00f3 como cantante, as\u00ed que comenzamos a trabajar juntos. Lo m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil fue el primer ensayo. La banda acababa de regresar de su gira por Latinoam\u00e9rica, as\u00ed que estaban muy cansados. \u00a1No s\u00e9 de donde sacaron fuerzas y tocar tan bien!, y poco a poco fui agarrando su forma de ensayar y empec\u00e9 a cantar con ellos. Para el segundo ensayo ya son\u00e1bamos como una banda que hab\u00eda tocado juntos por a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n En la grabaci\u00f3n del ‘Rock Opera’ puedes escuchar tanto a Lori como a mi cantando las partes de Soprano, \u00a1es bastante genial! En los shows interpretamos canciones de varios discos, todos grabados con sopranos diferentes, as\u00ed que no siento nada de presi\u00f3n, solamente canto con mi voz \u00fanica. Es muy f\u00e1cil cantar con cantantes tan buenos como Thomas y Linnea, con el apoyo de poderosas guitarras, orquestaciones, bajos y la bater\u00eda.<\/p>\n Therion es una de las bandas m\u00e1s famosas y reconocidas a nivel mundial, \u00bfqu\u00e9 significa esto para tu carrera como cantante??<\/strong><\/p>\n Significa un mont\u00f3n de emociones positivas, m\u00fasica hermosa, grandes shows y -algo que no tienes en la m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica- la gran marea de gente cantando a tu lado.<\/p>\n \u00bfAbandonar\u00e1s tus otros proyectos? How do you decide to participate in Metal bands and Metal projects?<\/strong><\/p>\n Along with opera, I have always liked metal music, so I patricipated in both genres. After doing classical music, metal seems to be a bit easier and you have more freedom.<\/p>\n Can you tell us some about your influences -in or out Metal scene-?<\/strong><\/p>\n Vocally I was influenced only by opera singers, such as Renata Tebaldi, Jessye Norman, Brigitte Nielsen, Joan Sutherland and many others. I also like a lot of metal singers, but I just enjoy listening to them – it is a different way of singing, so it doesn’t influence mine.<\/p>\n How did you get involved in Therion? Do you feel a kind of presure to be the one that replaced to Lori Lewis?<\/strong><\/p>\n My good friend and Christopher’s girlfriend Mina suggested me as a singer, and we started working together. The most difficult was the first rehearsal – the band just came back from their Latin America tour, so they were very tired (I don’t know how they found strength to wake up early and play so good!), and I was getting used to their way of rehearsing and singing together with them. But at the second rehearsal we already sounded like a band that had been playing together for years! Therion is one of the most famous and recognized metal bands worldwide. What means for you and your career as singer?<\/strong><\/p>\n It means a lot of positive emotions, beautiful music, great performances, and – what you can’t have at classical music concerts – the waving sea of people singing along with you!<\/p>\n Are you leaving your other projects? [Ken Zuruck and Thunderstorm]?<\/strong><\/p>\n I am not leaving them, but right now both me and other band members are too busy to work on that – maybe we will find more time in the future.<\/p>\n You\u00b4d been in two shows until now,[Sweden Rock Fest and ArtMania Fest]. HOw do you feel the fans and your band mates reactions?<\/strong><\/p>\n The reactions were very positive, and I loved the way festivals were organized. At each festival we performed pretty late, so it was chilly – but all the fans were so fresh and active! \nOn the rock opera recording you will be able to hear both me and Lori singing soprano parts, which is really nice! At concerts we perform songs from many albums all recorded with different sopranos, so I don’t feel any pressure, I just sing with my own unique voice. It is easy to sing with such great singers as Thomas and Linnea, supported by powerful guitars, orchestras, bass and drums.<\/p>\n
