{"id":60448,"date":"2025-01-15T13:42:33","date_gmt":"2025-01-15T19:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/summainferno.com\/?p=60448"},"modified":"2025-01-15T13:42:34","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T19:42:34","slug":"alien-weaponry-anuncia-nuevo-album-te-ra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/summainferno.com\/en\/alien-weaponry-anuncia-nuevo-album-te-ra\/","title":{"rendered":"Alien Weaponry announce new album, \u2018Te R\u0101\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\" translation-block\">New Zealanders <strong>Alien Weaponry<\/strong> have released details of their new studio album, <strong><em>\u2018Te R\u0101\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, which will be available on March 28 via Napalm Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">The first single from the album is called \u2018<em>Mau Moko<\/em>\u2018, a song in honour of the traditional facial tattoo of the M\u0101ori culture, called \u2018Moko\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">\u201cM\u0101ori have a rich history of commemorating traditions that were almost lost during colonisation. These traditions are currently undergoing a much-needed cultural revival, and that inspired me. I wanted the lyrics to remind people that moko is, and always will be, a part of who we are. With the video for the song, we wanted to show the darker side of moko\u2019s history and how the head trade played a role in the tradition\u2019s near extinction.
