Starting May 7, you can listen to 'Aeterna<\/em>', the new solo single from Epica<\/strong> singer Simone Simons<\/strong>. The song is part of her album ' Vermillion <\/em> <\/strong>' which she made together with Ayreon <\/strong> and will be available from August 23 via Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018Aeterna\u2019 is the song that opens the album, epic and great, accompanied by an incredible music video. Without a doubt, it reminds us of the characteristic sound of Epica and Ayreon, combining Latin lyrics with a touch of oriental sound. We sought to balance powerful, bombastic elements with more atmospheric moments. As it is the first song that the public will hear from this album, it is extremely important to us and we are eager for everyone to enjoy it!

The song brings the perspective of a star on the verge of going supernova, exploring the interconnectedness of everything in the universe, like a cosmic web woven by stardust. It addresses our deepest emotions, our consciousness, and other mysteries of life that science cannot yet fully explain.
