In 2023, <strong>Max<\/strong> and <strong>Iggor Cavalera<\/strong> accomplished what some would say was an impossible feat: they revisited their first releases, <strong>Morbid Visions<\/strong> and <strong> Bestial Devastation<\/strong>and re-recorded them with bone-crunching intensity. A risk few would even dare attempt, but they artistically and prolifically achieved their signature raw sound through means that could only be described as magic or time travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">And it looks like the ball hasn't stopped rolling, as they are now entering the final chapter of their initial trilogy. <em><strong>Schizophrenia<\/strong><\/em> is an iconic album from the beginnings of thrash and death metal, a name familiar to those of us involved in extreme metal. This was the point at which Cavalera refined their somber, dirty, speed-influenced songs into something a little more mature, developed and technical. Decades later, they have once again opened the asylum that is Schizophrenia, opening the doors to that banished and twisted recording that will be released to the world on June 21 via <strong>Nuclear Blast Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">The first preview of the re-release comes in the form of a live music video for the single<strong>'Escape To The Void'<\/strong>. Listen at maximum volume!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><strong>Iggor Cavalera<\/strong> comments: <em>\u201c1987 was a very progressive year for metal, with releases like <strong>Into The Pandemonium<\/strong> by <strong>CELTIC FROST<\/strong>, <strong>Killing Technology<\/strong> by <strong>VOIVOD<\/strong> and <strong>Under The Sign Of The Black Mark<\/strong> by <strong>BATHORY<\/strong>, so it wasn't a surprise how we approached <strong>Schizophrenia<\/strong>, pushing our limits from a black\/death metal sound to a more thrash metal aesthetic. We still had some ideas from Morbid Visions and some new songs.
