The history of Gary and the Melvins dates back to their days at Boner Records, and the guitarist was part of the legendary Ed Hall band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">\u201cThe way we approached Tarantula Heart was different than any other Melvins album,\u201d explains <strong>Buzz Osborne<\/strong>. \u201cI had Dale and Roy Mayorga come in and play along with Steven and I on some riffs, then I took those sessions and figured out what parts would work and wrote new music that fit. This is not a study approach we have ever taken. We usually write the songs before we start recording!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">\u201cMost of Tarantula Heart has dual drum parts,\u201d adds veteran Melvins drummer Dale Crover. \u201cRoy is an amazing drummer. We would discuss what we would do as far as patterns and then we would just do it.
