\u00a1Hey!, \u00bfQu\u00e9 onda? \u00bfQu\u00e9 hay de nuevo en el cubil de Thy Art is Murder?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1Acabamos de empezar en el Soundwave! Ya llevamos dos shows. Ahora tenemos un par de d\u00edas libres antes de reiniciar en el Festival.<\/p>\n

Su \u00faltimo \u00e1lbum “Hate” fue lanzado en 2012, \u00bfYa est\u00e1n trabajando en su nuevo material?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1Si, ya estamos en eso! Sean est\u00e1 tirando la casa por la ventana, as\u00ed que podr\u00e1s esperar nuevo material en el futuro cercano.<\/p>\n

Y bueno, hablando de Soundwave, estar\u00e1n tocando al lado de grandes bandas como Green Day, The Dillinger Scape Plan y Avenged Sevenfold, supongo que se convertir\u00e1 en un gran escaparate para ustedes…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1Absolutamente! Es una gran oportunidad para tocar para un mont\u00f3n de personas que no nos han visto o que ni siquiera nos conocen. Y por supuesto, para convivir con muchos cuates que vienen del otro lado del oc\u00e9ano.<\/p>\n

Correcto. Estoy demasiado ansioso por esos shows, seguramente ser\u00e1 un tiempo genial.<\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s del tiempo, han sufrido un sin fin de cambios en su alineaci\u00f3n. \u00bfLes cuesta trabajo definir un sonido propio con una rotaci\u00f3n de miembros tan seguido?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pues no, no realmente. Sean siempre ha sido el escritor clave en la banda desde los inicios, es por eso que nuestro sonido no se ha alejado tanto entre cada lanzamiento.<\/p>\n

\u00bfY como definir\u00edas ese sonido…?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1Estoy seguro que la gente podr\u00e1 ponernos en un mont\u00f3n de subg\u00e9neros! Death, Peppermint… “Sandwich de Jamon y queso Metalcore”<\/em>… Pero la mejor manera que se me ocurre es simplemente, ‘modern metal’.<\/p>\n

Y bueno, \u00bfQu\u00e9 tal anda la escena metalera en Australia? Ya sabes, estamos un poquito lejos y nos es un tanto dif\u00edcil seguirla.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La escena del Metal aqu\u00ed est\u00e1 creciendo todo el tiempo y produciendo una enorme cantidad de grandes bandas. Much\u00edsimas bandas australianas est\u00e1n por todo el mundo siendo headliners, as\u00ed que con un poco de suerte, podr\u00e1s ver las por ti mismo pronto.<\/p>\n

Le eche un vistazo a sus redes sociales y me di cuenta que les agrada interactuar y bromear con sus fans. Eso es genial, en serio…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1Es que los fans son la raz\u00f3n por la que podemos hacer todo lo que hacemos! No ser\u00edamos nada sin su apoyo, por eso tratamos de interactuar con ellos tanto como sea posible.<\/p>\n

\u00bfLa industria musical ‘regular’ est\u00e1 muerta y ha sido reemplazada por Internet y las redes sociales?<\/strong><\/p>\n

La industria musical no est\u00e1 muerta y te aseguro que solamente es un dolor en el trasero. Las redes sociales solo han hecho que muchas bandas se den a conocer y se publiciten de una manera mucho m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil. Pero la gente deber\u00eda ir y comprar las copias f\u00edsicas de los discos, eso es lo que realmente est\u00e1 muriendo.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9xico… \u00bfAlg\u00fan plan para visitarnos pr\u00f3ximamente?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1Estar\u00edamos encantados de ir y tocar algunos shows en M\u00e9xico! Te aseguro que haremos todo lo que este en nuestras manos para estar ah\u00ed lo m\u00e1s pronto posible…<\/p>\n

We’ve just started
\nSoundwave! 2 Shows in, have a few days off before we get back in to it.<\/p>\n

Your last album, “Hate” was released in 2012, are you working in new<\/strong>
\n material?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are! Sean has been riffing the house down, So expect some new
\nstuff in the near future.<\/p>\n

You will be in Soundwave with bands like Green Day, The Dillinger<\/strong>
\n Escape Plan or Avenged Sevenfold, I guess this could be a great showcase<\/strong>
\n for the band…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Absolutely! It’s a great chance to play to a lot of people that might not
\nhave seen or heard of us before. Also a great chance to catch up with
\nmates from overseas.<\/p>\n

And also you will be on the road with Emmure across USA in March and<\/strong>
\n April…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Correct! looking forward to those shows, Should be a rad time.<\/p>\n

In time you suffered several times, line-up changes. Is hard to define<\/strong>
\n a sound with new members in the band as often?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not really! Sean has been a key writer from the start, That’s why the
\nsound has never strayed to far apart from each release.<\/p>\n

How could you define your own music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m sure there are 1000 different sub genre’s people put us in to such as
\nDeath, Peppermint, Ham & Cheese sandwhich core, But the best way to
\ndescribe it I think is just modern metal!<\/p>\n

What about Metal scene in Australia? We\u00b4re a bit far and not so aware<\/strong>
\n as we could wish…<\/strong><\/p>\n

The metal scene here is growing all the time and producing a lot of great
\nbands! A lot of Australian bands are heading overseas at the moment, So
\nhopefully you’ll be able to check them out for your selves!<\/p>\n

I saw your social networks, and seems you like to joke and interact<\/strong>
\n with your fans. That\u00b4s cool!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fans are the reason we are able to do what we do! If it wasn’t for
\ntheir support, The least we can do is interact with the as much as
\npossible.<\/p>\n

Is the “regular” music industry dead? Social Networks are the present and<\/strong>
\n the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The music industry isn’t dead, It’s just a pain in the ass. Social
\nnetworking just made it a lot easier for bands to advertise and promote
\nthem selves! People should go back to buying psychical copies, That’s
\nwhat’s really dying.<\/p>\n

Mexico. Any plans to visit us?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We would love to come and play some shows in Mexico! We’ll do our best to
\nget out there as soon as possible!
