A follower or fan of music always knows where his band is or where he is going to play. Surely, every time your favorite band announces dates in their country, or announces an international tour, you go crazy and hope that Mexico or your city is within their plans to play. So as a good fan, you buy their merch, buy the ticket, and look forward to the day to see them live. That is your experience as a fan. What you've probably never asked yourself is, how does a band make a tour possible?<\/p>\n
Speaking merely of those freelancers, that is, they work on their own, without labels, millionaire contracts, and all those comforts that fame can one day bring, I want you to know that it is quite an odyssey. From getting a booking agent, having the capital to cover your own expenses and contingencies, having the time to be able to get out of your routine and make the trip, invest in merchandise to get "something" out of it, etc.<\/p>\n
The reality is that touring life when you're not a rockstar is nothing like MTV painted it. Here on earth, bands must put a lot of effort, time and above all money to be able to make their music cross borders, not only digitally, but live and in full color.<\/p>\n
